Starting a new game, in light of IB winding down. Follow my lead and complete the sentence!

IB is like...

  • a black eye...bragging about it is wonderful, but how you obtained it was painful.

  • a suffocating, warm hug...bittersweet.

  • the mean teacher who wants to see what you don't know rather than what you do know

    • Your turn!

Long time no post! Not sure what to say with exams fast approaching. We should have mini celebrations here after the completion of each paper!

To study, or not to study... that is the question.

Which IB classes are most worthy of neglect during this revision period?

Wyatt, new goal:

Mrs. Brown's autograph.

Heck, get the autograph of every PIB and IB teacher and associated faculty member. That includes the weekly-changing staff at the IB store!

Haha, I was looking back at last year's yearbook and found the entry our TOK sub made in it. I also have the autograph'd prom ticket from Via Toscana and Esa Slavin's autograph. I'm sure those will be worth a pretty penny someday...

I would like to commemorate all of Yulia's fun stories. Also, I would like to honor Kristin Wall with the "TOKer of 8th Period" award for all of the meaningful comments she makes, even those that are a bit "off-the-wall". Ha. That wasn't lame at all, was it?

What else, what else? I really will miss letting Ms. Brown "have her way with me". Mayhaps she'll "grab me" before the end of the semester. I wonder if Mr. Stott realizes the double meanings behind the things he says...

I have particularly fond memories of the guy's eye getting cut open in that movie last year, and Rashômon. Oh, and of course, Mindwalk. That was just a delightful movie. The one that stands out for me the most is getting screamed at in class for rolling my eyes at Ms. Max when she asked me to stop talking once in class. Teacher freak-outs are fun. I hated her for such a long time after that. Hmmmm....

I've just thought of a fun poem to write, in the style of Tennyson. "In Memoriam A.H.H." shall be replaced with "In Memoriam T.O.K." I see Kristina's already kicked it off, but just to add my two cents:
I shall always remember the Umbrellalology discussion, where Kristina G. and I yelled at Yulia and Aaron for a full period, and they yelled right back.
I shall never forget the presentations, most notably that from today with Matt P., Alex O., and JMG.

TOK is coming to a close. Comments? Anecdotes? Memories? Rants?

Don't post a comment here in reply...just post it straight to this board.

I, for one, would like to recall the time that Matt P. and Alex W. proposed to our TOK sub last semester.

Ahh, memories.

Hey, I'm posting! I've forgotten what Kristina's question was. Damn. Something about frogurt? hmmm... I did discover some skinny cow fudge ice cream in the downstairs freezer the other day. We should have an IB party, and I'll bring that, and we can all eat it without getting fat. Except for wyatt, I'll bring you your own fudgilicious creation. Oh no, is this entry not intelligent enough to be in the IB post? That would be shameful.

So, do we want to attempt to have intelligent conversations in here...like continuations of TOKish conversations...or would we rather discuss other criteria? I'm assuming the latter, so I throw this out to you:

Which do you think the IB community prefers more....frozen yogurt or ice cream?

Discuss.

Hello and welcome to the Fairview High School IB community for the class of 2005!
We are currently 3/46 of the way to our eventual goal of having every member of our IB diploma candidate class as a member of this community. Certificate candidates and candidates from other graduating classes are welcome to join as well.
